Meet Dr. Praveen De Silva

Nice to meet you. I am a New Zealand born and trained Gynaecologist, with sub-specialist training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery (keyhole surgery). My practice has a particular focus on advanced endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and hysterectomy. 

I’m the Clinical Lead for Endometriosis and Laparoscopic Surgery at Te Whatu Ora- Waitemata (North Shore Hospital). Accredited for all levels of Endometriosis Surgery (AGES Level 6).

I will see patients privately (with or without a GP referral) at Auckland Gynaecology Group and operate at Ascot Hospital and Southern Cross North Harbour and Southern Cross Brightside.

I will also be happy for private consultation via telehealth video conferencing from around NZ

Regardless of the reasons for seeing me, I take pride in my ability to explain both surgical and non-surgical options for treatment, and work with you to determine the best approach for you as an individual. I am passionate about achieving good cosmetic and functional results in those women who choose to have surgery.
